Media Center Information:

✔️Student Check-Outs:

Students may come to check out books on any school day during school hours. Our students are able to check out 2 books.

📚 Book Fairs:
The Media Center sponsors two Book Fairs each school year. One fair is held in the fall and the other in the spring.

🎅Santa Shop:
The Media Center sponsors a Santa Shop in December for students to purchase gift items for family members.

📋Volunteers:
Our Buford Elementary School Media Center is always buzzing with students!  Students have the opportunity to check out books all throughout the day, as their teachers allow.  With our media center being open all day and having students come multiple times during the day, we tend to accumulate a large number of books just waiting to be placed back on the shelves for their next reader.  We truly enjoy having volunteers come in to assist with re-shelving our books or assisting with tasks we might be working on.  We always need volunteers for our book fairs and Santa Shop.

📫Please email [email protected] if you are interested in volunteering in our media center.📫

READING ACCOUNTABILITY

Our school expectation is for students to check out and read at least 2 books per week. Students work toward quarterly individual, class, and school-wide goals to motivate and encourage reading across genres.
